Antibes and Cap d'Antibes. The old town's ramparts and the Cap's private lanes reward a car that's easy to place in narrow streets yet feels right parked outside a beach restaurant. Mougins and the Grasse hills. Inland from Cannes, the road climbs past perfume fields and hilltop villages, with tighter curves and less traffic than the coast. An SUV or a car with a firmer ride handles the gradients comfortably, and the drive works well as a half-day break from beachfront routines.
