Méribel and the Trois Vallées loop. The link roads between resorts climb and switch back constantly. A car with strong low-speed torque and good winter tyres handles the gradient better than raw horsepower, particularly on the Méribel side roads in high season.

Lac d'Annecy. A summer favourite for guests who want open road time away from the resort. The lakeside route has longer straights and wider bends, which is where a convertible or a naturally aspirated sports car earns its rental.

Col de la Madeleine. Open only in the warmer months, this pass draws drivers who want a proper mountain road: consistent hairpins, thin traffic early in the day, and long sightlines. Worth booking a car with sharper steering feel for this stretch alone.

Albertville and the lower Savoyard villages. Lower altitude means easier driving conditions outside peak snow, and the town centres are a change of pace from the resort roads above. A good stop for clients who want to combine an errand run or a business call with a slower, scenic return.
